The Cycle Of Learning is a cyclic framework for doing the work to solve problems, engage in self-reflection, and set goals to improve problem-solving to get ready to tackle the next problem. This framework has eight steps which depict the pathway to solve problems. Of course, these steps may be revisited and repeated as necessary. Students begin to learn this framework through rather highly structured, e.g., highly scaffold experience in problem solving. They are taught to internalize the process and, over time, to adapt it to meet their own needs in the context of the variety of problems they will encounter in their lives. We have a graphic that shows this cyclic process. The eight steps of the Cycle of Learning are: ü Step 1 Of The Cycle Of Learning: Defining The Problem And Audience Who Wants A Solution ü Step 2 Of The Cycle Of Learning: Accessing and Acquiring Information ü Step 3 Of The Cycle Of Learning: Processing Information ü Step 4 Of The Cycle Of Learning: Producing Product That Presents A Solution To The Problem ü Step 5 Of The Cycle Of Learning: Communicating The Solution To The Audience ü Steps 6, 7, and 8 Of The Cycle Of Learning: Self-Assessment, Self-Evaluation and Self-Regulation (goal setting)
